My Process
For most of my life, I leaned hard into my left brain—math, logic, spreadsheets, problem-solving. I used to joke that I was the least creative person on the planet. But somewhere in my late 40s, I gave myself permission to play.
That simple shift—getting curious, trying things, failing gloriously—unlocked something unexpected: joy. Pure, shiny, can’t-stop-smiling joy. Now, when I’m in my studio sawing, soldering, forming, and setting stones, I get totally lost in the moment. The rest of the world fades into the background. It’s peaceful. It’s energizing. It’s play.
I believe we all need an activity that lets us lose track of time and reconnect with ourselves. And if you’ve ever thought you’re not creative—trust me, you are; you just haven’t found your thing yet. Give yourself permission to try new things!
My jewelry begins with a simple silver sheet and wire. From there, I let nature guide me. The textures of tree bark, the shimmer of desert light, the curve of a flower petal and a little bit of whimsy—they all find their way into my work. Using traditional metal smithing techniques, I shape these inspirations into pieces that are meant to be lived in, loved, and passed down for generations.

Creativity runs in my blood. My mom is an abstract painter who filled our home with bold colors and wild shapes. Growing up in that swirl of expression taught me that art doesn’t have to follow rules—it just has to make you feel something.
By day, I work in software development—a world of logic, structure, and clean lines. But when I step into my studio (aka my happy place), I trade in code for silver, stones, and sparks of joy. There’s something magical about transforming raw materials into wearable art. It’s like alchemy with a side of whimsy.
